The fabulous Surrey Badger Half-Marathon has sold out for the third year in a row.  We will no longer be taking entries for the full event (and there will be NO entries on the day).  However, entries for the 3k fun run are still open and will remain so on race day until the registration desk closes at 8.45am.

These supporting events to the Bacchus Marathon and Half Marathon are designed to be fun.  There will be a 2k or 4k fun run option as well as other family friendly events to keep young and old entertained while runners are out on the full Bacchus course.

Events to Live are delighted to announce a sponsorship deal with UK clothing manufacturer Ronhill.  Ronhill has been making making functional running clothing for all types of running enthusiasts over the past 40 years.  Set up in 1970, Ron Hill Sports was established the year its founder Ron Hill won the Boston Marathon and the Commonwealth Games.

We are delighted to announce that the Mole Valley Silver Band and rock covers band Midnight Hour will be supporting the Bacchus Marathon on Sunday 12th September. 

The Mole Valley Silver Band play varied brass band music in and around the towns of Leatherhead and Dorking in the Mole Valley area of Surrey. 

The Surrey Badger half marathon is set to sell out for the third year in a row.

We are delighted to announce the launch of the first Bacchus Marathon and Half-Marathon this year being held on Sunday 12th September 2010.  The Bacchus Marathon promises to be the showcase of our calendar which already boasts the Surrey Badger Half marathon (included in the Runners World top 50 races in the UK last year). 

This is a brand new event and the first of its kind to be held in the UK.  With breathtaking scenery, just prior to the grape harvest, you will be able to sample Denbies award winning wine as you traverse the route running through the spectacular scenery of the Surrey Hills and North Downs. 

It's been a very exciting project to work on and has been almost a year in the making.  The inspiration for this event is the Marathon du Medoc.  A fantastique 26.2 miles through the Medoc region of France sampling wine and food as you go.  It's so popular, it's practically who you know, not what, to secure the much sort after invitation.  So, we thought we would try to recreate the event in our own magic kingdom, Denbies Vineyard in Surrey, the largest (award winning) vineyard in England.

The Three Molehills is a relay with a difference.  Teams of three compete over the three hills in the Mole Valley; Box Hill, Norbury Park and Ranmore.  Starting and finishing at Denbies Wine Estate, each team member will pick a hill.  The hills have to be run in the order specified.  Handovers will take place at the HQ at Denbies. Of course, if you are feeling particularly brave you can do the whole thing yourself.
